Looking for a Muffler
Sunday, March 25, 2007 2:48 PM
...To quiet my car down. I have header, high flow cat, and vibrant 2.5" catback...looking to cut off the muffler and get something that is quiet as hell. Any recommendations? And no...I don't have stock parts anymore.

Resinator. Put a resonator between your cat and muffler or between your headers and cat. I'm not sure exactly where to put it, but the longer the better. It will quiet your exhaust a lot.

dynomax superturbo muffler should tone it down a good amount.

Anything with baffles is going to help you out if you want it to be quiet. Add a resonator and you'll calm it down pretty good, then get a Dynomax Superturbo as stated above, or a Walker Quiet-Flow or something.

Won't superturbo be loud also? I am talking like...VERY quiet...near stock.

My superturbo was moderately loud and raspy until I put a resonator on. This is with header, high flow cat, and 2 1/4" piping on a 2200.
