Im going to be going to the wrecker in a few weeks to pick up an ecotec to tear and re-build.

Currently I have a 2003 sunfire ecotec 5 speed. I figure I want to IDEALLY pick up and ecotec that was in an auto trans car. My logic is that an auto car will have been beaten on less than a 5-speed.

My question is this:

Will an ecotec pulled from an auto trans car bolt up without any modifications to the getrag trans in my car?

I know this is kind of a newb question but I have always owned 5 speeds.

Yes, transmissions are auto/manual, engines could care less...
