I know this is a simple newb question but I searched through a hell of alot of threads and somehow couldnt find answers.
Im looking at getting a pacesetter catback cause their cheap and gonna eventually get a dynomax muffler, but one Im looking at is only listed for 95-97(its an ebay company and their always messed up). Will this also work for any cavalier 95-02, for both 2.2 and 2.4?
Thanks. And I know alot of you will just tell me to get a custom exhuast or another catback, but Im just looking for a simple answer.

actually 98 and up had a slight difference when it goes over the axle. Not major but a slight difference

So an "95-97 2.2" catback would fit an 01 2.4?
95-97 2.2 are slightly different than 97-99 2.2, 00-03 has flex pipe.
2.4 after the cat its the same.

95+ 2.2/2200 should all have the same cat-back exhaust, minus where a few exhaust hangers are located. They added one by the lower section for the rear axle later on, and changed where/how the one above the axle attaches. These hangers can be picked up from GM, and installed if needed. I believe the cat is located farther forward on the 2.2/2200 vs. the 2.4....... RK Sport included a longer pipes so that their exhausts would fit both the 2.2/2200 and 2.4 models.

but u gotta remmeber the 97 have an extra hanger.....the 98 have 2 inches of extra pipe....the 99 has 2 fluxcapacitors and the 2000 has an extra bolt in it
