Fuel pump upgrade require adjustble fuel pressure regulator?

Does a fuel pump upgrade require an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to back down the pressure for the added flow, or will the stock fuel pressure regulator regulate the flow and pressure to run a stock amount of fuel?

My head says you must have a adjustable fuel pressure regulator to turn the pressure down to accommodate the added flow... Is this correct.

no.. you do not need a AFPR. We have a return type fuel system. the FPR bypass's the fuel/pressure it dosn't need back to the tank, unless your talking a 500lph@200psi pump, your fine with the stock FPR
