hey guys how much power can i put down without worring about the crank getting messed up , im getting the motor back soon and its going to be seeing about 16psi depending on the tuning and i was wondering what the cranks are rated at , it is a 2.4l

I think you'll be fine.

I know the eco ones are rated for, well we'll just say lots. If im remembering right, it was still doing ok at like 1000hp. The 2.4 idk.

yea cause i will have the rest of the engines bottom end built to handle the boost and there might be some track days when i want to bump it up to 20 , my engine builder asked me if i want to get cryo treated but i dont plan on making over 375 to the wheel so if i dont need to worry about it i dont want to spend the money

How much did he quote you for cryo treating a crank?

Stock cast cranks are good to about 500bhp... you'll run into other issues first (like hg sealing issues)

375whp on a stock crank with a 2.4 should be cake.

cool that is what i need to hear he was going to charge me about 100 for cryo treating i might do it for the hell of it
