Ok I have a 02 cavalier 2.2 59000 miles, this thing has been very well maintained ie: oil changes, fuel filter tune up @!#$ like that, But today i heard a terrible thing.......a rod knock , wtf, low miles....anyone have an issue like this...email me primoconcepts@yahoo.com or reply here

I bought it with 14000 miles on it, I have taken reall good care of it since. I relly dont want to put money in this thing, I am/was actually trying to sell it, but not like this.
Rod knock is definately not a common occurance for the 2200, check out your timing chain tensioner. The feed hole to your timing assembly may have been clogged.

Ok I guess I should have said this, I am a real experienced mechanic, and all, I maintain my car really well. I do not however have much experience with these motors. so 2200 isnt known for this as a problem...hmmm, ok i will try and check the timing assembly. any other ideas let me know...thanks
