It sounds to me like you don't know what you are doing. I wouldn't try it if I were you.
To advance spark timing, you would need an MSD DIS-2, HP-tuners, or a full stand-alone ECU.
If you wanted to advance cam timing, you would need adjustable cam gears.

And, just some advice, seeing that you have the eco the adjustable cam gears would be a waste of money. I forgot who but someone bought them and noticed that the stock timing is what was giving them the best results.

The MSD DIS-2 will NOT advance spark timing. It's a piggyback system, and awaits commands from the stock ECU. It can only retard timing.
Thank you, I know nothing about the ECOtech. I thought I would ask, because i know you can do it on Carburated cars. (I know carburated cars)

carburated has nothing to do with it, having a distributor does
get the HPtuner software to advance timing in your ECOtec
