i think its time for a new engine in my cavalier. ive tried everything to resurect the one in there but its no hope.
i need a recomendation on what engine i should drop in their. im lookin for more power then my stock 2.3 has and im lookin for sumthin that can take alot of kms on it because i drive alot (e.g.16000 in 2 months) and i want sumthin that will last.

Well, to tell the truth, if you have the 2.3 there is noting else out there that has more power than what you have. Unless you have the 2.3LO then find a 2.3 HO. The only other thing I can think of that you can do with your Cavalier is find a 2.4L and convert to OBDII which is a huge pain in the butt to do. So either find another 2.3, or I would just buy another car. If you love Cavalier's that much the 2.2 Ecotec are going pretty cheap now, that engine is stronger and more reliable than any other engine put in the Cavalier. If it was not then why would GM put it in all of their cars?
