does anybody no what i need to swap my head from a sohc to a dohc is it a head swap or do i need extra parts like intake manifolds etc...

Yes, but from the picture in your profile, you have neither motor. You can't swap a DOHC head to an OHV head

Just as Brian said, you have an OHV, not OHC motor. No parts will swap between the motors w/o fab work. And I'm not saying w/ some fab work you can swap heads, because you can't. Your cam is in the block, a 2.4 has 2 cams in the head. If your where to get the 2.4 head on the 2.2 block you would have 3 cams and no use for any of them.

get a new motor with 2 cams
