my input....turbo! it depends on money supply, want, and how much you wanna do to your car.

ok, for an auto... you can acctually do a few things to make it almost as fast as a 5spd z24

1.) autotrans interceptor or b&m shift plus or hptuners-this is acctually a computer programmer.... basically they can help you tweak the line pressure and firmness of shifts. IMO...ive heard way more good things about the autotrans interceptor than the shift plus...problem is, nobody sells it anymore so you would prolly hafta find one used here on the classifieds section.
2.) it's a lot of work, but you can put a higher stall torque convertor in...ive heard yank sells an excellent unit. (not sure of the website)

what is a "full" air intake? im assuming you mean a short ram where the filter sits right by the battery?

by "full" exhuast.. do you mean a header and a high flow cat as well?

it also is a lot of work, but you can take an exhuast camshaft from a 90-94 low output 2.3 quad 4 engine and put it right in your car.
and equally as much work...id do it at the same time as the exhuast cam...
you can get a 95 ONLY 2.3 quad 4 intake camshaft and drop it right in
-these cams are the easiest and cheapest way to go for a little bump in camshaft gain. they help out a little bit...but dont expect like 20 or more hp...maybe 10 since you have an intake and exhuast.
it is very easy to find both cams in a junkyard in good condition... or you can go right down to your neighborhood parts house and order a brand new exhuast cam for around $120...but you best be putting new lifters in with it.. and they are VERY expensive... the last time i checked a whole set was going for $600 from GM.
also.. a new company called Turbo Tech Racing just realeased a solid complete upper engine mount for the 2.4, very nice product... it should be a must if your after performance...and you'll be happy to hear they are going to be making an auto tranny mount (never been done before for our cars) that should be as equally great.

all n all... if i were you... i would read the hell out of this section and the FAQ at the top of the page to gain more knowledge... trust me..it will help.

Ok, here we go... You say you want to go faster? First off our cars are not designed to go faster. So before you can safely go faster you should look at other things before speed. Like your suspension for instance, your stock suspension can't handle alot of stress it will fail and you take the chance of wreaking your car and possibly hurting yourself or other people. So you should work on your suspension before you work on speed. Set of nice Koni Yellow Struts with Ground Control coilovers, front and rear tower strut bars are nice to have as well. Better brakes are a must when it comes to the speed factor. You want to go fast? Then your going to want to stop better and faster as well, get some drilled and slotted roaters, better brake pads, and heck if you got the time and know how do the dodge neon read disk break swap. So as you can tell there is a lot you should do for your vehicle before making it fast. Safety is number one concern when on the streets the last thing you want is to kill somebody or yourself. We don't like it when members on this site get hurt and we dont like to hear about others getting hurt because of somebody on this site. There is a reason why our cars do only 108mph, simply because our cars are not desinged to go that fast safely. Besides all of that some good mods to do to your car is easy to find, I myself have a 97 Z24 Auto, here is a small list of things you can do if you want to go faster. But please take in what I spent the time to tell you in to concideration.

2.3 HO 086 Head
2.3 HO Cams or Secret Cams or W41 Cams
2.3 Oil Pump
Forged rods and pistons
ARP Main and Head studs
2.3 HO or LO intake Manifold
if you go with the 086 head the 2.3 HO exhaust manifold
2.25" or 2.5" cat-back exhaust
High Flow Catalatic converter (Magnaflow, Catco)
High flow muffler (Dynomax Super Turbo)
Glasspack or resonator (Dynomax Thrush, so the car is not so loud and raspy)
Custom CAI or WAI
Chevette main bearings
B&M electronic shift improver or autotrans interceprot
Yank 3k High Stall TQ converter
and if you go this far with mods a MUST is HP Tuners or HPT Pro

If I missed anything this should be a good start I'm sure you can find the rest on the site if you use the SEARCH button located at the top of the main forums page. But with this build you could easily see 210-215whp on an NA setup. Then there is the world of boost and nitrous, you could go with a 30-100 shot of nitrous with the right setup in fuel managment. With the setup of mods I have listed above you could very very easily turbo or supercharge your car. With turbo you could run anywhere from 5psi to possibly 15psi without detination. That is all I have to say for now, just remember SAFETY FIRST!
