I have a 4" Carbon Fiber 3A Racing Exhaust on my cavalier. I have a "Street Fighter" rear bumper I will be putting on soon, and it has 2 openings for exhausts. I
LOVE the way my exhaust sounds. If I get an identical exhaust for the other side (branching it off of the other piping), Would the exhaust sound change? Would it be louder (good thing)? Would it be quieter? Thanks.
so you have a 4 inch exhaust on a cavalier??? LOL
i think the opening in your muffler is 4 inchs. and adding a muffler does not count as exhaust.
anyway to help you. more likely it will change. far as better sound, no one would really know
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
Two mufflers, probably louder. Actually, yes it would be louder
Not sure if thats a good thing.. To me its not, but hey people are different.. Id stick with one muffler but since you have the two openings in your new rear bumper you might as well get two mufflers.. Would look stupid with just one muffler on a bumper with two openings.

Yeah, I kinda thought that too (1 opening with a tip, 1 w/ nothing there, hmmmm). Like I said I like how it sounds. Nice consistant deep sound. Doesn't sound dumb like the Civics and Accords around here. I like how loud it is. I wasn't sure if it would mess with the sound too much. I know I want the tone to be the same, but I didn't want it to become quieter.
You best bet would be to take your car to afew exhaust shops, and get some quotes. They should have no problem building you an exhaust that would sound the way you want it to.
I'm going to do that (after the full kit is put on). Thanks guys.
