Header + Full exhaust, what to expect? ECO owners
Monday, October 30, 2006 7:59 PM
If I buy a Header for my ECO along with a Full Exhaust, what should I expect REALISTICALY for gains hp wise?

I have seen the parts out there for years, but never knew if it would be worth the investment.

Thanks in advance.

well seeing as its an automatic and the only perofrmance mod is an intake performance gains will be minimal, if I had to quess I'd say 10 hp would be doing good

i noticed a nice gain with my cat-back, not really any gain when I installed my header and hi flow cat. It will be a lot louder, too.

See, this is what has me lost here (not meaning to thread jack).

This is what I'm doing very soon, going for full exhaust, ceramic header, hi-flow cat. This is what i need right to make it sound/perform the best? I talked to this kid with a Civic at my work who just did exhaust (no new header or cat), and said it cost him around $510. Yet when I priced a Borla system, RK Sport Hi flow cat, and Ceramic header the total was around $1100?! His exhaust sounds really raspy and thats exactly what I don't want. What would be the best way or doing this?!

other than with out it you set a code and let it run in open loop! awsome!

unless you have HP tuners to shut down the codes, you my friend are not letting you car run its best.

So would the best thing to do is buy the hi-flow cat, the ceramic header and a muffler, and just go to the exhaust shop and have them fill in the rest?

i have the magnaflow wide open series muffler with no cat and a 27" glass pack, plus the tsudo header

i felt a nice hp gain with the exhaust, and the header i felt the most in the higher rpm range
