Head differences

are there any differences in a 96-99 head and a 00-02 2.4 tc head?

i know some had egr but otherwise are they similiar?

Shifted

The water passage shapes are different, and I believe the combustion chambers have slightly different shapes.

Deffinatly different. Valvetrain inside is all the same...valves, keepers, springs...blah blah, but the water passages are smallller I BELIEVE in the newer head. I cant remember. Long time since I compared.
