idle high but cannot find any leaks

hey guys, i went to install my throttle plate for alky injection and all was good except the idle seemed high after installation so i checked for leaks and nothing and then i took off the plate and then started the car the way it was before the plate and the idle yet again was high. idles usually 900-1000 on my car and now it seems to be 1500 in park and 1300 in gear. ive checked all the lines that i seen and nothing seems to be leaking. whats good to spray on the lines to see leaks? thanks.

you can use soapy water, wd40, any type of spray on "lubricant" prettymuch.

I would check the throttle position sensor on the throttle body to see if it is stuck. You can also see the t/b is dirty. The plunger on the t/b sometimes can get stuck. Pull the t/b and you will see the sensor held down by two torq screws and flip it over and see if the plunger is all the way down. Then while the t/b is in your hand flip the t/b to full open and slowly relaes and make sure it isnt sticking.
