Ok i did a few searches and came up blank which stinks cause i kow i read this before. Which number/letter in the vin identifies HO? Also I know that LO parts came on HOs and HO parts came on LOs so what are some manifold numbers for the HO? Thanks

the mani's dont have casting numbers.

HO 8th vin is a "A"

every thing else dosent matter... unless you can see the diffrence between a single slamer and a DOHC. or a "twin cam" and a real "quad-4"

HO parts did not come on LO's

yes thay did.... you can get LO auto grand am with a HO intake. and a HO car with a LO intake.

you can also get LO cars with 086 heads....like my 1989 calais

Never seen a HO engine with a LO intake manifold.......... BUT I've seen the HO intake on VIN D engines..... Quite a few LO engines where just some cams and pistons away from being HO units.

Also, there ARE casting numbers on the back of the intake manifolds.......... damn Chris, your full of bad info today, WTF? (will have to track those numbers down....... there were a few listed in the original HO Mani swap guide)
