There are two pipe plugs located underneathe the intake runners, just above the oil filter pad. use a 1/4" drive ratchet to to remove the plug and install your sending unit (if an electric gauge) or capilary tube nut (if a mechanical gauge) into the hole. Follow the gauge manufacturers directions from there.

This is also more accurate and safer than using a T-fitting.

Could you take some pics possibly for an idea on where to locate this sensor and wires and stuff? Thanks

Above the oil filter, there are 2 cap plugs that are 1/4" square drive (use a 1/4" ratchet w/ no socket).

That cap plug is 1/4"NPT male, so you will need to get an adapter if one didn't come w/ the gauge to go from 1/4"NPT male to 1/8"NPT female. Just hit up your local hardware store in the plumbing aisle.

There's a pic in this thread:

of the back of the 2.2 block, the sender would go where the white thing is...

Here's a close-up pic of where I installed mine (same spot):

Does anybody know of one that's got everything included (all adapters, etc.)?

What oil pressure should I be pulling with a stock 2.2L?

At idle wile hot: 30psi.

By 3000 RPM hot: 56psi. min.

Dead cold at idle: 75psi. At least that's mine does.

Go beyond the "bolt-on".

FWIW, I found one at my local Carquest that had the adapter included. Its "made in Taiwan", but I hope it'll do the job. Part # is 81350.

I'm just waiting on my pillar pod mount on bought on Ebay (and a free weekend) to git'r done.

I just got this installed. Mine starts out around 70 psi cold, but drops to a little bit under 20 at idle once its warmed up. Is this good enough?

Should I get a new oil pump?
