well im redoing my exhaust in a few weeks and wondering if the srt-4 back peice i have on the car now could be holding back some slight performance because of the bends it has. attatched is a photo of the back peice i have on my car with all the bends.

How is it affecting your performance?

Looking at your pro. the only problems I can see you having is slight slow acceleration due to no mufflers. (I see tips) Or a slight reduction in HP depending on how big the pipes are. One of the two. Besides that I dont see you having much of a HP or torque loss at all if very little at most.

Let us know what you find out.

Looks ok...at the rear most section it spits to 2 pipes, so even if there was a restriction it would just go out the other pipe.... so you shouldnt be getting restricted airflow

looks fairly decent, doubt it'll hold you back much if any.. mandrel bends instead of compression would be ideal but its not all that bad...

and as for losing tq/hp no....just no, end of story.. i'm sick of getting into this bs "your going to lose ALL your low end torque with a X.X" exhaust and hp will suffer too" bull shirt.... if you dont know what your talking about shut yer mouth and do some EDUCATED research on the subject not just hear say...

LOL... Calm down. No one here is arguing about tq/hp compromising each other. All three of us said pretty much the same thing as well as what most are thinking... But i agree, that arugment is way over-discussed and over with!

Boosted,
As we all said... Looks good. Little to no loss with that exhaust.

Hope we helped!

bends actually heat air, hence bad for intakes.... so if anything it may help to a minute degree...
