j-kub...you straight up rock , i've had the same issues with my 96 ......
i ended up splicing into the stock sender for my pressure (works fine) but never had a spot to put the oil temp sender, so much thanks for doing what i've not wanted to
Took me three days to find this post, and it was exaclty what I was looking for.
Awesome write up, big THANKS to you.
Sorry to bring up a dead topic but whats the best way to access these holes? Over the top, go under, through the tire.
I did mine from under the car (since I was putting it in at the same time I was doing an oil change...)
The next best would be to remove the fender liner..
yah o it while a oil change..reach up pull the filter off and the its super easy acces to the hole..take ur 1/4 drive wrachet and turn awy..and to clarify it works on all 2.2's/ and 2200's...phil
How easy with an auto though
no clue..but cant see it bieng any differnt..how hard is it to change ur oil filter? it sits right abouve the oils filter..within a couple inches..phil
well its just a coupe inches up..so thats your best option..i would do it..cause from the top it would be alot harder..phil
When we did it on a auto we removed the intake manifold and did from the top.
FU Tuning
any other way to access it.. I was under the car and there is no room to reach up. how do you remove the intake mani, alot of work invovled?
The next best would be to remove the fender liner..
Ok... I'm not sure on the 2200's, but there should be 2 of these plugs... one directly above the filter, and one to the driver's side, on the same plane as the first. Did you happen to see either when you were under the car (you will need a flashlight)?
Option 3, find someone with skinny enough arms to reach back there
I didnt happen to look over on the other side, I wasnt aware there was another hole there.. Ill try to find someone with a long skinny arm
