2.25 is good enough.

agreed, for his application.
its not boosted, so....
if your not looking at boost 2.25 is plenty. when boosted it depends on factors such as motor, and boost pressure
much debated subject. 2.25" or 2.5". There was the debate about Bill who suppose to have tested both sizes but others say the difference in HP was minimal and the different times the Dynowas done could almost make the small difference.
I would say 2.25" if Mandrel Bent if not Mandrel bent i would say 2.5"

IIRC, bigger tubing (past 2.25) increases power in the high RPM ranges, but weakens it in the low end.

bill did all his testing on a 2.4L (which has higher displacement and most had mods) with his header and rksports.
he never did testing on a 2.2 ohv or an ecotec. just concluded that 2.5 was right for any sport compact off of one car really....
i have 2.25 on my ecotec....
I know for a fact 2.25 is better for an NA car.. I had a 2.5 inch exhaust and when I put my silence in on a dyno run I gained power and torque...
I did 6 or 7 runs that day and the last 2 being with the silencer in

I am going from 2.5'' to 2.25'' on my 2.4L GM S/C my setup.
For turbo or highly modified F/I motor I'd go 2.5''. N/A or low boost--2.25 is sufficient.

i know i have no dyno and the butt dyno is not accurate but my car seems to have done well with a 2.5". I had 2.25" before. I have to take my car to the Dyno and see what i get.
