ok, the parts car i have (2000 cavalier) has a 4spd tranny and 2200 2.2L with 50K on it.
well i'm going to use the 2200, but i'm not sure if i want to use the 4spd in the car, cuz i'd have to rewire my entire 96.
should i go 4spd, and say @!#$ it and rewire the whole car? or should i drop in a 5spd?
i have everything, even the ECU for a 5spd swap but the front mount & engine harness, but i can use my 3spd harness for that.. (which came from another parts car i had, but didnt have the time to take the mounts off, long story, lol)
can i use the rear mount from my current parts car (auto) and use it as a front mount for the 5spd?

I have a 1996 2.4 with turbo and automatic. I am thinking about doing a 5 speed Getrag swap. I plan on beating the hell out of the car at the track with slicks, and I am not forsure if the auto will be able to hold up. I could get an auto built to handle the power, but I think that it would cost me more to build an auto than it would be to put in a Getrag with a Quaife LSD. If building an automatic was going to cost the same as the Getrag, I would go with the auto since I will be doing alot of drag racing..... brake boost, 2 step, and a high stall would be badass.
