One is the fuel pump kicking in? Did you swap BCM's?
FU Tuning
body control module, its like the computer for the not engine related things on a car
check to see if the theft lock is on (and i know it is
. that stopped mine from starting after the swap. just look in the faq here on jbo to learn how to disable it
If the fuel injectors are always hot, it may mean you may have attached the wire to the starter/or something otherwise with constant power instead of grounding it...... this happened to a friend of mine, it was a GM tech. who was helping out who made the mistake too!
I need more info.
What exactly did you change?
Engine
Trans
PCM
Engine bay wiring harness
All those?
Did you do the re-learn on the PASSLOCK system yet? It takes 30 minutes, 3x 10 minute intervals.
What happens when you turn the key to start? It cranks? Catches and dies? Nothing at all?
Does the cluster work? When you turn the key on, does it bulb test? When you start the car, does the security light stay on? Or flash?
When you turn the key on, can you hear the fuel pump turn on, then stop 2 seconds later? Or nothing at all?
Give me that info... I might be able to help you fix it
I do not think it is a theft lock issue. On the Ecotec swaps we have done we never had to do the theft lock learn, but we used everything from the ecotec car so everything matched.

I had the same problem. I had to leave the keys forward for 15 minutes, came back after the 15 minutes, it fired, I almost cried i was so happy.
Theftlock is the radio feature John
Passlock.... if the PCM, BCM, and key R-code don't match, then you need to do a re-learn. Here's how:

just like you have to do when swaping out gauges!!

On 95-99 cars, yes. Because the cluster is part of the PASSLOCK system on those years. On 2000-05 cars the BCM controls those functions, and drives the cluster... but the cluster can be swapped (or removed entirely)...
Not an issue on his car... since it's a 2000.

You are correct, but they are all the same to me. We did not have this issue on our swaps. Like I said we took everything from one complete car and swapped it, so everything matched and they started.

you you dont have to swap the bcm but can if you feel the need to not do the passloc learning.
theres a GGW infomercial on TV right now...... just thought I'd give you all the heads up (had nothing else to say, since the car runs now)
