yes you can, it's called 'time to buy a new cat' (or just remove it all together and run straight pipe)

cats are required by all 50 states for street legality. ^^^

And Rod? well, he's partially right, if it's clogged up it will need to be chopped out and replaced. What are the symptoms? just not running well? Smells of Raw unburned fuel?

There is a huge! fine if you are caught without a cat.
And you are destroying the environment that you are living in.

ive been running with out a cat for years!

oh yeah, and for your information, lol, the car with no cat, is NOT a daily driven car, it's a track car.

it is not a 0.5hp gain when you have 19LBS of boost

pretty much only thing you can do is change it , or striaght pipe it

also depending whats going on with it , it might put the cat bed material into your muffler

if your sure its the cat causing the problem , for a temp fix you can pull the cat out and smash the cat bed out of the shell

but expect the noise level to increase , so just do it for temp use

a quick check you can do to se if it is your cat clogged up would be to just pull out the front O2 sensor and if it runs better you know its probably clogged, this will just open the exhaust a little to breathe better is all, and yea youll just have to replace it to fix it and stay legal. i got my cat from Ebay brand new for like $50 shipped Catco brand

Hmm, he has a nice Wilwood front brake kit, RSM Supercharger, HPTuners, aftermarket wheels, nice audio system, aftermarket front bumper and hood.... I think he knows modding is expensive.
