I currently have a flowmaster (40 series I believe) muffler on my 2.2L. Just wondering if anyone has taken the resonator off with this same muffler. Did it make a huge difference in sound? I love the way it sounds now, but it could be deeper. Any help would be great, thanks.
well if you took the resnator off it would make it raspyer but if you add a longer resonator it will have a deeper sound to it
I wouldn't take it out unless you are running a turbo, removal will make you hate the way your car sounds, all tinnie (not tiny but tin-e) everytime you let off the gas it will sound like the exhaust is rattling off.
HP Tuners | Garrett T3/T04B | 2.5" Charge Pipes | 2.5" Downpipe | 650 Injectors | HO Manifold | Addco front/rear | Motor Mounts | HKS SSQV | Spec stage 3 | AEM UEGO Wideband | Team Green LSD | FMIC | 2.3 cams | 2.3 oil pump swap | 280WHP | Now ECOTECED

He's got a point. My HKS sounds sexy as all get out as long as I'm at idle or I keep the go-pedal in the firewall. Every time I shift I cringe because it sounds so horrible.
