Its been done, seen the pics, you'll need to flip the muffler the other direction and get new pipes but yeah it works.
Good luck
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
I've got a similar setup (borla crossflow single inlet, dual outlet mounted across the car), but I'm not at home to post pics, there might be something in my registry, but nothing that will show under the car.
15.3 @ 89.97mph, 14's on the way?
It doesn't go under the spare tire well exactly, it's more slanted behind the rear bumper. You would have to completely re-do all the pipes.

yea i know i have to chop the pipes, flip the muffler over and all that... but the bends that are on it right now actually are the same ones i need so i plan to try and still use them for the most part.. as they are all mandrel bent 2.5" ID stainless steel
so the muffler sits then kind of between the spare tire and the bumper ?

It's a direct replacement for the Camaro, Dynomax Superturbo Crossflow part number 17739, dimensions should be on Dynomax.com.

How is the performance of that set up on a 95-99 z24? Any loss in rear end pressure like a dual muffler set up would?

God he can only hope so, he is turbo, less backpressure, the better.
ok how about a non turbo z?
well i am trying to get my car as quiet as i can... and this muffler came off our car which dynoed 317whp bone stock and so if it can work on a car making that much hp which it was meant for it should make mine quiet... i am not worried about back pressure if any thing a bit would be nice since i see 11-12psi @ 1500rpm right now and i still need to go to a smaller pulley which would make it even less... so i am just trying to make it as quiet as i can sine i HATE!!!! loud cars... and since this exhaust system is just laying beside our house doing nothing i thought i would use it

I hear ya, I only ask because I had the Rksport dual exhaust set up on my 2.2 and it felt like I lost alot of power instead of gained, I guess because of the loss of rear pressure? And nothing gets my attention if it's not some kind of dual outlet exhaust, so I was looking into doing that camaro/srt-4 exhaust on my Z, but I didn't want to lose power in doing so.
Ps. On your cardomain, it says your Est. Hp is 160? Is that accurate?

simple minds talk about other people.
average minds talk about events.
great minds discuss ideas
did i read that right..... a smaller pulley on your super charger to lower boost? a smaller pulley would make more boost.
or are you talking about on the other end of the belt?
Dave has a muffler from a NEON not a camaro
