with a stock ignition... What wire going into the IDI should be tapped? I've heard that people just tap them all. Is that accurate?

When both of my 2.4's was dynoed that is what they did. It is just a clip and they put it over all the wires going into the IDI.

White or orange wire (pin A or B) on the IDI connector. White (pin A) is "Electronic Spark Timing Control Signal (1-4)" and orange (pin B) is "Electronic Spark Timing Control Signal (2-3)".
2.4L is a waste spark system... cylinders 1 & 4 fire together, so do 2 & 3. That's why there's only two coils, not four. The signal on either wre will be twice the RPM.
Also the pink wire on the IDI is the Tach signal, but again the style clip most dyno's use they can put it over all the wires going into the IDI for the signal.

Mine they just clipped over the pink wire. Worked great.
