if i were to get a 2 inch custom stainless exhaust bent how would it sound with my muffler on it as opposed to how it sounds with the stock 1 7/8" piping.

i was thinking of doing 2 inch back until about the rear wheels then having it open into 2.25 so my muffler can be welded on.

if i like the noise my muffler is making right now.....will it be basically the same after this setup or will i need a new resonator??

stock is 2 inch. Go with 2 1/4 inch

Definitely go 2 1/4. You're wasting money on 2" since it will do absolutely nothing for you but make noise.

You shouldn't need a resonator really with only doing a cat back. I didn't need one until I did the header and cat also.

I went with 2 1/2 on mine and I love it!

no guys im saying i want basically the same noise as with my muffler but i dont want my exhaust to rust out so thats why im going with stainless steel....

will it sound the same though or will the different material make it sound different?

The material of the pipe won't change the sound if thats what you mean.
