i was just wondering is a 95 grand am with the 2.3l low engine the right intake cam ?????
and is it posible that if it was timed wrong that the exhaust valves would hit the pistons. and could bent valves hold the engine from turning over.
cuz i did the swap and i turned it over and it started for like a half a sec and then i shut it off cuz it sounded really bad so i took the spark plugs out and the two out side spark plugs a smashed so what went wrong what do i have to do to fix it? and just so you know there is no hole in the piston cuz i cheaked it.
Was it timed wrong? do i have the wrong cams my exhaust cam is from a 92 grand am 2.3l low intake is a 95 2.3l low. what could of went wrong
anyone????
broken valves probley so iam taking off the head to check
Did you set the engine at TDC before taking off your 2.4L cams? If not, like said above, your timing was off.

thanks
paul
sorry to hear man, for future reference id advise you to roll the engine over a few times making sure nothing is hitting and its timed right
otherwise now you have an excuse do do more and build the motor
