I have one, and I love it! I notice that the motor stays in it's powerband better with the shift kit on, plus shifts are really fast and firm. I easily chirp my tires shifting into second with it on.
There is alot of great info in the tranny section, and an excelent walkthrough on how to install them.
Yea, I just installed one on my car and I cant believe I ever drove my OHV auto trans. without it. Definitly worth the money.
hey man if you need one i have one that was never installed, because its only for the four speed tranny and not for the three speed, and i have the 2200 three speed. the package was opened but i have everything and the instructions it comes with
Well, it is def worth the money. but the second setting is NOT a smart choice to use. It rides through the shift point (slips). And I have an exact time from 1st setting to 2nd setting, and the 2nd setting is about .3tenths slower.
ive got no problems with level 2 , i run mine daily on it
and level 0 stock , level 1 , both run slower in mine
wld it increase acceleration?
I don't know if it will increase acceleration at all, but if I had to guess, I'd say know. It's designed to firm up the shifts and decrease the time it takes to shift from one gear to the next. I instaled one on a buddy's 05 Cavy and you could actually hear how much faster it hit the next gear (he had an exhaust that was loud, so it was easier to hear)
wat is the point of firmer shifts?
It hits the next gear faster, thus eliminating lag time between gears. It's kind of the same concept as the short shifter for a manual trans. If you can hit the next gear faster, you can spend more time putting power down.
That is true. Less lag means you keep accelerating, the more lag you have the more you wait to keep accelerating. That simple. Setting 2 I will chirp my tires into 2nd, 3 rd you can hear the band slipping but still shifts extremely hard. It will jerk your head back into the head rest, and the car will jump forward and the speedo jumps up 4 mph on the shift.
GIT 'ER DONE!
I haven't run it at the track, but the "seat of your pants" feel is a defintate improvement.
