Ok so ive read some of the other threads but if i get a magnflow high flow cat will it still have a chance or setting the CEL??? And i heard that if this does happen there is a way to "fix" it so your cel doesnt come on for the cat.... the anti-fowler mod????

I believe you have to move your sensor

their is a specific cat that you should get, i don't have the part # for it though, you'll have to search for it. i just know that their is a specific one that does not throw the cel, i have it on my car. or you could buy a o2 simulator for it.

Goal is to make my N/A Auto faster then a manual without doing engine internals

get the hi flow cat # 94035. This has the 02 sensor hole already in, so you won't throw a CEL

As long as you make sure you get the OBD2 compliant model, you should be fine.

I have the 94035 cat on my car and had a problem with "cat efficiency below threshold" CEL. I ended up doing the anti-fouler mod... that caused the 02 sensor to rub on the undercarriage... which broke the heater wire for the sensor. So now I need a whole new sensor.

BTW, I only recently found out that the original code was caused by a faulty PVC valve. Basically to much oil was getting into the combustion chambers, and that in turn was clogging up the cat.

there's one in the exhaust manifold, and one in the cat. my cat (Magnaflow 91035... and yes, it is OBD-II compliant) is throwing codes now too, mostly P0420's. I'm going to put some spacers on it to hopefully fix the problem.
