i have a pacesetter header, and magnaflow high flow cat. and have a muffler. (i want to see how it sounds without resonator then add one if i dont like it)
i am wondering where i can get exhaust pipe to do this myself, the local shop around here just clamps it on, so i figured screw that, i can just clamp it on myself. (@!#$ty area i live in lol)
so where can i get this exhaust, can i just walk into advanced auto and ask them if i can order stock exhaust, but in a different size? (2 1/4") or what, thanks for the help.
Pretty sure you cant do that lol, i know you could goto a shop like muffler man (cuz they need to have a computer and machinery bend the bigger size tubing) itll cost you 200 buck roughly.
Yes you could do it yourself, but it won't give you a accurate sound. You would have to bend you pipes just how you would do your cat-back to get the sound. Different bends and pipe sizes will give you a different sound. But if you do want exhaust piping they sell it had any local autozone or stuff like that, or you can buy them from your local muffler shop too.

Yea you can buy pieces of piping..... and make it fit how you want, but wat i think the kid was asking was if he can go into the shop and say ... i got a cav? and i want the same exhaust piping on the car originallly just 2.25'' ............. thats wat i dont think he can do?
basically, what i want is to buy a catback system (minus the muffler). but i dont want to pay $500 for it. the place around here just clamps it on, and i would rather have it welded. I will be willing to drive to Allentown, PA (which is 40 mins from my house) or Hazleton PA (which is 30 mins from my house.)
the places around here suck lol. i need to get out of this area. but thanks for the help regardless.
