crank pulley

The only lightweight crank pulleys for an ecotec I can find is the RSM pulley and the RKSport underdrive pulley. I am getting a lightweight alt pulley from LD9 but at the same time I want to install the crank pulley, especially before I reprogram my PCM. But i've heard bad comments on both. What are the pro's and con's for the RSM crank pulley and the RKSport Underdrive pulley. Any answers are appreciated.

I would tell you, but then I'd have to kill you... j/k

I have the RKSport underdrive pulley, and have noticed no severe adverse effects from it's use. It revs a bit faster, so much in fact that in neutral during free rev, the factory tach can't keep up. Mine shows about 5000 rpm when the car hits the 6400 limiter. An aftermarket tach solves that. My a/c seems to be cooling down fine still, and there is less power loss from turning it on also. The only downside is that my lights dim a bit when idling down, and there is a noticeable small drag on the engine if you turn on the rear defroster. I don't know how it would act with more electrical accessories, I have an 05 Sunfire 1SV with no options (the racing package)

Yes, but only in free-rev, as in clutch pushed in, no load on engine. During normal driving, the tach still works fine.

I have the custom car grills pulley and dont have any problems with it. I have never had that happeen where the rpms cant keep up. Then agin, I have never tried to rev at 5000 rpms when in neutral. It's a stock size pulley, and only wights a couple oz. mor then the rsm. But, the ccg pulley is less exspensive, and usally ships faster.
