I believe sometime in the next couple of weeks I am going to start to design a lightweight stock sized crank pulley for the Ecotec. I'm 90% sure the grooves are exactly the same as the LD9 pulleys, but I still need to confirm that. I believe the alternators have the exact same pulley, and I will prove or disprove that this weekend.
Does anyone know the part number to or has a stock Ecotec crank pulley laying around, and doesn't want it anymore......
Any comments and questions welcomed.

I've also got the RSM crank pulley on the ECOTEC, will your be a lower cost, or will it me ever lighter then theres?

His will almost certainly be a lower cost, probably be around the same weight, and save you the injustice of having to order anything at all from those thieves at RSM.
That was a Noob buy, before I knew any better.
Just, let me know if I can help...If it will be lighter than theres(RSM) I'm up for it.

I dont care about it being lighter than RSMs as long as its similar and I can sit down after paying for it Im in for one

Yippie! if you find out the alternator pulley is the same, I'll grab one from the GP going on now
it might not be lighter , but i can tell you from the 2.4 pulley he puts alot of care into strength vs weight
since i seam to like to stir things up , and the eco s/c kit has came out , and some of us have done the 2.0 s/c installs(airtonics and me that i know of) also this might expand your sales
the 2.0 s/c uses a 6 rib belt , and the 2.2 uses a 5 rib , other than that both pullies are the same size , as far as i can tell
which opens you to sales to the redline and cobalt guys also
ive got the 6rib pulley i can loan you , i will need it back though

i didnt mention it but the way the gm eco s/c kit comes , the s/c , idler and tensioner all have 6 ribs
and the recomended alt for the gm eco s/c kit is 6 rib also , if i can figure out how to get the plastic cap off the end , i could send the alt pulley also
im still trying to get the a/c compressor for the redline/cobalt , because im going to use the rib belt eventually
the alt pulleys are the same, ive already done a bit of switching
keep us posted on the pulleys! summer is comming and i know for sure i'm going to buy one, and i so rather not settle for rsm

I'm interested. I hate how RSM is the only option I've seen. Carcustoms.net had some, but don't offer them right now.

Well yes, sometime in the near future I would like to venture to the 2.2 and the 2200 people, But there is a much bigger market for Eco's so that is what I am working on next.

So the alternator pulley for the ecotec's, the LD9, the 2.2-2200 are all the same?
I know the LD9 and the Ecotec are the same.

yup the ohv alt pulley is the same , i had a ohv alt pulley on my 2.4 for a long time , then took it off because i went with the s/c
that didnt come out right , LOL
i had a larger alt pulley from a ohv pulley kit on my 2.4
ive got the crank pulley to send
but the alt pulley on the 2.0 s/c motor isnt a regular pulley , i went to pull it apart to find its a really odd pulley , it has a 1 way roller clutch in it
but ive got a 6rib pulley from a truck , that i had on my 2.4 and its got the same rib pattern as the as the pulley on the 2.0
