id use some pvc piping since you can buy all sorts of bends and such, secure it to the TB with a rubber elbow with a hose clamp.

wouldn't with pvc or abs, you might be huffing fumes when your engine warms up, i can't imagine that its good for you so i would just get some aluminum pipe and see one done properly (made from a respected company) and form it as you see fit, still cheaper then buying one from a dealer.

Many people just buy an aluminum intake kit off of E-Bay, then get a K&N filter to replace the cheap filter that comes with those kits. Most should come with all that you need to install it in the car.

if your have a pep boys or i think auto zone might have it. they have custom bends to make your own intake they have 90' to 45' bends, an diff length tubes. and silicone to conect your tb to the intake or to conect other intake tubes together.

Cheap eBay intake. Works like a charm.

For mounting? I used a 3"-2.75" silicone reducer, but a 3"-3" would work too. Mine was quite a stretch to get it around the TB inlet.

abs shouldnt give off fumes. i think the ice man intakes for the 2.4's are abs.
think about. the 2.4 has a plastic intake manifold....no fumes...totally safe.
but i could be wrong also.

ABS and PVC are two different types of plastic.

So how did the coating work out for ya? I've got a stove sitting in the garage. It's the one that was in the house when I bought it and I don't care what happens to it. I was kind of thinking about getting one of those DIY kits and doing my intake and a few other things. Then I can just bake the parts right in my garage and save myself some money. Might as well use the oven for something.
