I was just wondering how cheap it would be to build my own intake out of parts off the internet for my ecotec? Has anybody done this? If so how much was the cost and what parts did you use to complete this project

i built a custom intake, but i used parts from Napa. it really didnt cost me anything for the peices because when i went to ring out the lady scanned them but i guess it didnt register because when i got home i looked at my receipt and the parts wernt on it. so i basically saved all of what like $30.
you can use what they call thermoplastic as it suppose to be better than aircraft aluminum, but i dunno. i actually used both and they both seem to worked fine. but if you do decide to build your own intake make sure you use a high quality air filter such as K & N. remember u can be cheap on the setup but u dont wanna be cheap when it comes to the filtration element as u dont wanna use something thats cheap and u end up with crap in ur intake and throttle body
