Resonator

Quick question, i just bought a cat back system and a header for my 04 cavy, and it's not on my car yet. im sure i want to use a resonator, will i have to take my car to a muffler shop to have the whole exhaust system installed now, or can i still do this at home with basic hand tools, or should i just wait and see how it sounds minus the resonator, and if its too loud, then take it to a shop and have one put on?

It's not about how loud it will be. It will most likely be very raspy. 9 times out of 10, people get resonators. They can be found cheap, so even if the sound isn't changed much, you'll know you didn't break the bank to get it. If you do get a resonator, pick up one with a perforated core.

If you can weld, then do it at home. If not, then I don't THINK you can do it.

I'd say buy a $20 resonator and take the whole setup to your favorite shop.
