has anyone heard of the venom 400 performance module you buy from summit i was thinking about getting this for my 89 z24 with a 3400 swap and i wanted to know if it actually made a difference
Stop. No. Don't. This has been covered so many times. It doesn't work. Actually, you get the same effect by pressing the gas pedal all the way to the floor. It's a total waste of money.
wait, he has an OBD1 system, so i belive it is chippable.
But Venom is still a joke.

It is, but the Venom 400 isn't a chip. It's a resistor that goes between the TPS and MAP sensor (I believe), and the ECU. All it does is alter the voltage to try and trick the ECU. A chip will actually have altered parameters. Fuel map, timing, whatever. An OBD I can be chipped, but it needs t obe an actual chip with new parameters burned on it.
AKA in the computer. Not a resistor on a sensor.
