Ok I have an off brand cat back it has a straight throught can muffler. My question is would it be quieter if I put a dynomax super turbo on it instead of the fartcan? I wan't it to be a little quiter but no a whole lot. I had a dyno max on a stock exhaust before and i liked it. I am thinking this because i had a dynomax muffler on my stock exhuast system on my sunfire it seemed to be quiter then the people with fart cans on there stock j exhaust systems. What do u guys think keep in mind i do not have a resionator.

I've never heard them in person but from what people say about them is that they sound nice, so I would imagine it would sound nicer than the "fart can". Only gauranteed way to make sure it's gonna be quiet and deeper is with the resonator.

Dynomax glasspack is a good bet. It is noticeably quiter than a coffee can, but it also gives you a bit more of a rumble, and at higher rpms youll notice you dont get that high pitched tinny sound. Fifty bucks bought and welded.
I've only heard 1 other j body that idled as fiercely as mine, and the only one I've heard at high rpms sounded MUCH higher than mine.
