Yea I searched and found a few results but non on the NGK TR55 plugs for the eco. Are these a good plug for a lightly modded engine?
NGK TR55
I still stick to the factory ones.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
stick to the stock plugs
unless your under boost , or using nitrous
those are not proper length
1. For all NA use the stock plugs
2. For low boost use the srt4 champion plugs
3. For high boost use the NGK SRT4 plugs

Question, sort of regarding the same thing. Rk sport makes a berrylium copper ignition spring upgrade for the ecotec($30). They claim it provides 80% less resistance. Does anyone have any experience with this. Also once installed does it make sense to start using a higher octane fuel. Thanks.
they work ok
the only reason to use high octane gas is for nitrous , boost , or high compression
Iridium Spark Plugs are the way to go, our spark plugs are very cheap and ugly. Not by the way they look, but how crappy they looked when I pulled them out. I noticed a lower idle, increase gas mileage, and a better ride. $30, totally worth it.

are these the correct plugs if i wanted to get NGK iridium? I love the ones in my 2200 and want them in my eco

NGK TR55
im using the exact same ones and i love them
Again TR55s are not a proper length plug and you can cause damage to your head by running them

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
NGK Iridium Spark Plugs
Spark Plug, Iridium, Tapered Seat, 14mm Thread, .708 in. Reach, Projected Tip, Resistor
thats the wrong reach?
yea its a little longer than the stock plugs but they still work great
We are all talking about diff plugs...
Im talking about the iridiums, not the tr55
unless they are the same thing

or call him seeing as we just spoke 4 hours ago
Yup! LOL!! Has anyone tried Bsch Platinums on the Ecotec? I know when I had my 2000 2.2L they ran awesome and that is what I was going to change out my stock plugs with on my '04.

SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol bosche sucks. you were lucky your car didnt detonate. they are horrible gimmic plugs, the spark travels to the closest metal tip it can, why would it help to have 4 of them? stock plugs run great. and dont tell me i dont know what im talking about, i used to have bosche plugs, but i got smart and put the old ones back in, and walah my idling problem and throttle response issues were resolved.

Ricer ELIMINATOR!
yea, i hear realy bad things about the +4
But i bought the NGK iridiums to try them out so we will see. I have stockers for backups just incase
upon further research i have found that the NGK's are a bad idea! the reach is .708 (18mm) STOCK IS 25mm!!!
my car is running pretty good with them in
