I've got a friend that has access to an OBD2 reader/coder so I was looking at getting him to tweek whatever settings he can tweek to squeek out a some extra performance. My question is, what changes should be made (if any) to an 04 ecotec. I've got an RKsport intake, RKsport upgraded plug coils, lower engine mount and a new muffler at the moment. I'm looking at getting a MSD set up as well. Any help would be great.
Thanks!

Id be suprised if it works.
you can't change anything i beleive..that device is only for reading and deleting codes it sounds like. i believe only certified GM dealerships have the ability to reflash the ECM with only programs giving to them by GM, they can't come up with there own flash
nothing can be changed for performance
but my question is, i am having problems with her running rich... would a reflash fix this???? any other suggestions? thanks

If he's got the dealer tool, it's about $5000 worth of hardware. And it only allows you to replace a stock calibration with a stock calibration. And as of '05 or '05, it doesn't even allow you to put an older calibration over a newer one any more.
If you're running rich and the engine's stock, have him diagnose it correctly like a "real" technician should. If the engine's modded and running rich, you should have a good enough idea about what you've changed to be able to figure this out.
