Oil Pressure for ECOTEC...is 100 PSI right?
Sunday, February 12, 2006 3:23 PM
Yes, I have posted this question before but no one seems to know the answer and a search yields no results either. So, her goes...I have installed a Glow Shift Oil pressure gauge and it reads 100 PSI and cold startup(temp. 29 degrees F, outside) is this right? After the ECO warms up it is also reading around 65-75 PSI at idle, whats up?

Please help JBO!

No, the engine is STOCK inside, no high comp rings, rods, oil pump, etc

cold 100PSI is normal. after it warms up it should be 20-60 depending on where your getting the reading from.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.
