hey guys i was interested in buyin the jet chips power control unit (#68001) for a couple hundred bucks and i was wondering if it is any good or if there is anything else that is better that kind of money

Jeez, not another one of these posts......No, the JET Chips are completely useless. We have OBD II computers, which are not chippable(for now at least), and makes the JET Chips useless. You are basically paying a couple hundred bucks to see some lights flash.

Just as bad ... Make sure to get a throttle body spacer to allow the air and fuel to mix better and increase your HP by 10% ....

Spend your money on a G-Tech. Then you can plug it into your lighter and watch the flashy lights of the "sequential shift light" and see how powerful your car really isn't. *JBO

Pat - the Tb spacer is only good if you go with nitrous. It gives you a spot to put the nitrous nozzle. Otherwise all those "easy hp product" are crap. The only thing electronic working is a REAL standalone ecm (Haltech, SDS, ...), MSD ignition, Crane ignition, ...

Check the performance FAQ. It will help you alot on the first thing you should know and do to your car. Timming won't give you enough gain for the money for a stock engine or a few bolt on.

I was young once and dumb and I baught one, the only thing I noticed was my fuel millage was going down hill. Waste of valuable money that could be spent elsewhere like boosting ect.
