Don't take me wrong, maybe I just don't know where you're going with this or you know something I don't, but a second coolant sensor isn't going to make your car fast. Sorry, it just won't. Last time I knew the car only has and only needs one. Or maybe there's some magic trick that I have yet to hear of. But if you're trying to get the thermostat to open at lower temps, just replace the stock one with one set for a lower temp. That will make the engine run a little better.

You'd be surprised. I actually spliced in a total of 6 coolant temp sensors and my car is now deep in the 13's.

aren't there 3 wire coolant temp sensors on 3400's? 1 reading goes to the PCM, the other to the dash?

Well when i put in a water temp sensor i just tapped the metal water rod that runs in front on the 2200, welded a nice self made bung thing and screwed it in, worked perfectly. its only like a foot away from the stock one lol.
