how do i get a 99 2.4l auto harness to work on a 99 2.4l 5spd?

Just about impossible. Ecu is looking for a TCC signal, and 4 shift solenoid signals., among other things. The biggest thing is dependant on ur state, it might not pass. Because @ crusing speeds obviously your EGR is suppose to be working its best to help with emissions. Everything from when you hit the brakes to when ur crusin on the highway. It'd be a pain in the A$$ but if you had somebody that could re-flash for you they might be able to take out, allot of the errors incorporated with the ECU looking for signal from the transmission. Look around and see what other years will fit. I may be able to get my hands on a 2.4L ecu and harness. Good luck if you go the other route. I put a 3400/5speed in a 3.1L/auto beretta, and it still has its quirks but no CEL, for instance sometimes if your in a higher gear, and the RPMS are low and you attempt to stop fast it will idle high and buck @ times. Just small things like that. Driveability wise is fine.
