Gotta be more specific on what you installed.

Auto or Mani car?
EGR or not?
2.4 or 2.3L tb
2.4 or 2.3 or some combo of the sensors?

i believe that that is going to be a leak. that is what happened to me and it would rev like that. make sure that your gasket is sealed right.

mine did it too (on a sunday night about midnight, it was real fun getting yelled at for it too) but im forgetting what it was, i think it was from the throttle cable being too tight after drilling out the second hold on the throttle plate, the cable wrapped over the edge of the plate and i had to cut a grove in it to fix it, otherwise it could be a leak as stated above. good luck its really worth it

check to make sure you pulled the stud from down by the starter (ground stud) and moved it down. If you dont, it wont allow the manifold to seal to the head, causing a huge vac. leak....... or you dont have your brake booster line hooked up, or the opening on the back of the intake is not covered, or you dont have a gasket under the t/b, or the throttle plate isnt closed.....

either way, its a vac. leak.
