because the Ho engine was making 180hp compared to 150hp for the 2.4. So some parts are better don't you think?

^^ hes got a point..if the whole engine was better ..and the parts fit your engine, wouldnt it make sense to put as many parts off the better engine onto yours ? ( as far as powergains)

The same reason people put intakes, or exhaust, or cams, or anything else that would add hp to the motor.

Well he made a post a few days ago about him knowing everything there is to know about the Quad series. And he posted it in versus, he offered to tell people how to remove their speed limiters, which was quickly locked and deleted. Then he tried to do the same in performance sayng things like "Stay safe race legal" only much more idiotic sounding than what I'm typing. And that too was locked and deleted.
That's all I know so far.
He wants to talk about a diploma. He should learn how to spell first.

hum, if he knows that much about the quad, I'll have a few question for him. He can try me and we'll see how smart he is about the 2.3.
If he thinks that plastic is better because it doesn't heat up like the aluminium, I have news for him, after a few hours of city driving, I can still put my hand on my manifold and stay there for 10 minutes without burning myself so it's not a problem. The air moves so fast that it doesn't really do anything.
And the Ho manifold is better than the 2.4 manifold anyway you look at it.

Joke's on him though, thats just how I brought it home (the day I brought it home actually) from the install. Its incredibly different and very clean, and still has a long way to go yet, but I have been working so its hard to get time to work on it.
I also just purchased a CF hood, and getting ready to get my 03 drift kit on and painted, along with the projector 03+ headlights and a complete new interior look.

HO manifold = better design, better flow/ less resistence on the incoming air being taken in........ I fail to see how the plastic manifold is better.. gains are proven are they not...

The advantages of the HO manifold are not its heat resistance, although with the spacer flange, which most people use for the swap, there is no transfer of heat from the head to the manifold since the flange eliminates it. The key advantage of the HO manifold is the increase airflow it provides compared to the stock 2.4 manifold (the HO manifold performance capabilities aren’t based on what material it is made of, but its design.)
