Swap out the CAI for a WAI?

OK guys, went racing last night with my 05 Sunfire and I was starting to get fustrated because my times kept getting worse as the night got colder. SWhen I got home I looked at some past slips I got with this car and knoticed that this is an on going trend. to give you guys an idea here are the 60's and 1/4 mile traps of my 1st and last runs since November:

11/11/05
Time: 8:38 pm
60': 2.491
1/4: 15.919
mph: 87.19

Time: 10:16 pm
60': 2.637
1/4: 16.423
mph: 87.10

12/2/05
Time: 8:48 pm
60': 2.379
1/4: 15.852
mph: 87.08

Time: 10:05 pm
60': 2.491
1/4: 16.005
mph: 86.66

2/3/06
Time: 8:36 pm
60': 2.394
1/4: 15.776
mph: 86.44

Time: 11:09 pm
60': 2.421
1/4: 15.952
mph: 86.57

As you can see, as the night went on, my car got slower. On all 3 trips to the track I have had an AEM CAI, 60mm TB, Pacesetter Armor Coated Header and 2.25 custom Cat-back.

Now what I'm wondering is should I get one of those cheep E-bay WAI's? I ask because the other 2 J's I've owned have had WAI's and the times went down as the night went on.

I dont think that matters.

I am pretty sure as you run an engine downt he 1/4th mile strip, after each and every run, as the engine components temps rise, that your chance of making the same power the second third and forth run is less.

Didnt Sport Compact or an equal magazine run such a test?

Reguardless, even if I am wrong, I cannot see how a CAI would be to blame. I am willing to bet both a WAI and CAI take in pretty similar temps when its cool out.

Intake has nothing to do with it. In every date you posted, you got slower due to your 60" time getting slower. Either the problem is with the driver, or traction.

You would be suprised what a good set of tires/wheels will do for your times.

your mph is staying the same so your setup is fine. when the night gets later and the sun goes down the track slowly gets colder so you get less traction

I don't actually read your posts
I stare them down until they give me the information I require
