how many miles on underdrive pullies?

just curious about the effect of ditching the harmonic balancer for underdrive pulleys long term.so i would like to know how many miles have you put on your car with underdrive pulleys and if you feel they were worth it? I know it sounds like overkill on such a simple mod im just kinda sketchy about taking off the dampner. oh and im talking about ecotecs here( not sure if others are the same 2.4,2200,etc) thanks guys.

There's no damper on the pulley. It's just a pulley balanced at 0. even if you take it off, the crank has been balanced without it so it doesn't do anything. They balanced the pulley itself so as long as the new pulley is balanced by itself correctly, it won't damage anything. You can even take it off and run like that. You'll gain even more but you'll have a problem with electricity.

I have racked up more than 130k on 2 2.4's with underdrive pulleys. No issues.

my 2.3 pulley is technically underdrive. had it for several thousand miles.

my 2200 has had the j-tuners pulleys on it for close to 30k no problems

I had over 60k miles on my UR pulley, on three different cars. And it was on two other cars before my three.

BTW, the UR pulley was NOT the reason it was moved from car to car... usually the cars were wrecked or sold... so it was moved on

I've never heard of any problems with an underdrive (read: non harmonic-balanced) pulley on a J-car. Ever.
