Well I am removing my head and to start my questions I was wondering how I would go about removing the fuel lines? Do I need a special tool or am I just being retarded or what?
Thanks
there is a retaining screw that holds the fuel return to the intake manifold. unscrew it, pop the fitting out. you will want to replace that O-ring when you put it back together. Same goes for the FPR, but there is no o-ring. The other fuel line stays attached to the lower manifold.

Should I grab a fuel line disconnect tool or do I not need it?
Hell you could just take the injectores out and keep them on the fuel rail, disconnect them from the wiring harness and move the whole thing aside as you remove the head...at least thats what i did..
I just thought it might be easier to remove the whole fuel rail then remove the other crap
No, removing the fuel rail won't make it any easier.

AH what a great day, got the fuel rail, intake manifold, rocker arms, pushrods and the header out of the way, now all I have to do is unbolt and remove the head but I ran out of sunlight so tomorrow I will unbolt that, if anyone is interested in buying a stock 2200 head with 40k miles on it PM me.
Anyways luckily I managed to label all nuts and bolts and brackets and I have a good idea of where everything goes, now is putting this new head on going to be as easy as taking the old one off?
You need to unbolt the 3 bolts that hold the powersteering pump onto the bracket that is bolted to the head. The bolts are behind the powersteering pump pulley.

ok that sounds simple enough, how heavy is the head j/w?
It probably weighs around 20 lbs. Dont forgot to pull off the coolant hoses from the metal coolant pipe that runs infront of the head.

The powersteering pump is FUN. Don't forget the bracket from the lower portion of the power steering pump that attaches to the intake manifold, unless you are leaving the manifold stationary.

Yeah I finally went out today and got the head off, it wasnt overly difficult or anything just time consuming and a ton of bolt labeling and getting the power steering pump off was a bit of a bitch, to be honest I wish my car didnt even have power steering, but the head is off and my head gasket actually didnt look so hot, so I am glad I am replacing everything, I was wondering where I can get the following:
Header gasket
Header studs
Intake mani studs
Intake mani gasket
Valve cover gasket

Header studs - Do Not Need to be replaced
Intake mani studs - Do Not Need to be replaced
Intake mani gasket - Auto Parts Store. Not more than $15 from Felpro
Valve cover gasket - Auto Parts Store $9 from Felpro

The head I ordered is a built head, full port and polish, 5 angle valve job, 1mm oversized stainless steel valves, and I also ordered Crane cams 1.6 ratio roller rockets, Crane cams chromoly pushrods, and a cometic head gasket. What kind of gains would you guys predict ?
I have all the available bolt ons for a 2200 currently
there is a tool you can buy it at any auto parts store
