Looking for a review on the Venom.

Perfer it to be for a 2.4L Twin Cam LD9.

Rumor has it that JBP sucks in the bad way. (<~beleave lenko said that)

Tring to get my car ready for some nitrous and I want to get it as fast as possible with out it.

So far I have

Magnaflow cat back
Pacesetter Header to be installed
B&M Shift Kit
Short Ram Intake
And just ordered my motor mounts from CarCustoms.net

Intake Manifold/throttle body are my next stages... then fuel upgrades then maybe a ported polished head or cams.

well, it's very nice to look at, and it is very expensive.

A lot of people will tell you that it's the same as using the HO manifold, or the LO manifold.


I can't prove that the HO/LO manifolds flow better, but I know that for the price, I'd rather stick with the HO/LO combo, I have it, I'm happy with it.

yeah I don't have a flow comparison but I like mine

there is a diff wqith the ho and lo mani they flow a lot more then the 2.4 , and betwen them the ho of a 90-93 i think is the best of all flow very nice, i just swapped my lo amin on 2.3 to and ho mani

You can also use a mani from a Saab with a little work. It was in a post a while back and is A LOT cheaper than the Venom one.

well i've considered the HO swap, but I need this to be done in a few hours, not a day or 2. My car is my daily driver/only car. lol. So im willing to spend a little more for the Venom.

I didn't say anything about the JBP intake manifold... mostly because I didn't know they had one.

I said the RSM one sucks... because it's just the 00-02 manifold dremeled out to match the 99 manifold. They claim the throttle plate will get stuck... they're full of @!#$.

if you are swapping intake manifolds on your LD9, the only way to go is the HO. Anything else is just a waste of money, especially the Venom.

There is one fore sale already modded to bolted on directly.
Meaning the holes have been drilled and port work has been done.

Venom is nice but always pricey. Nice piece if you can find a deal though.

A new 2.4l venom manifold runs about $540. anodized.

Under $600?
I'd like to find out where.

They do. And I'm pretty sure it costs the same.

i've been finding them from about 540-575 anidozed.

just want to know if it actually showed or felt any real gains...
