this question is for Gilles a.k.a Mfk-223, but anybody with info is greatly appreciated. i just wanted to know where i could pistons for a 1992 2.3 HO i want to get 11:1 cr pistons. i hear bad things about mantapart so i want to try to avoid them. i also checked out Ross pistons but they have to be custom made and i am think they will be to expensive i was just wondering if anybody else knew where i could get a set.

i do believe almost anywhere you look will not have them in stock and must be "custom" made, especially at that CR..best bet is to call and ask Ross, JE, Wiseco, or any of the piston making companies
yes they would have to be a custom application. they sell 9.5:1 Hypereutectic Pistons from www.The-Race-Shop.com with many choices in bore, so I imagine if you contact them, they could set you up with a deal on ordering a piston with a lower dish volume.

Don't go with Mantapart. Overprice and you will most likely get your parts in a year, if you ever get them. Do you want to get bigger pistons or stock size? Ross will be around 500-550 shipped (depending on your location). You can also email JE pistons for their price. Wiseco will do customs too. Cehck CarCustom for a set of Wiseco pistons. Last time I check, he said 450$
If you stay N/A, you can go with 11.5:1 compression without any problem.
for 11:1 compression you need pistons with a :
Stock bore - 1.3cc dish
0.010 over - 1.6cc dish
0.020 over - 1.8cc dish
0.030 over - 2.1cc dish
0.040 over - 2.4cc dish
for 11.5:1 compression you need pistons with a :
Stock bore - 1.5cc dome
0.010 over - 1.15cc dome
0.020 over - 0.9cc dome
0.030 over - 0.65cc dome
0.040 over - 0.4cc dome
